Barreau Family

The Barreau Family was the perfect example of a relaxed family photo shoot.

This house was filled with so much love, with much fun & plenty of cuddles & giggles. As soon as I walked into this house I knew I had to capture this light & love that was so evident.  

Sasha & Jake and their three beautiful girls, Dillion, Annika & baby Penelope were the perfect subjects because their happiness shone through. Not only did their house provide the perfect light but I had the added bonus of capturing their natural gravitation towards each with so much love.

You can see in the moments captured below that you don't necessarily need to be looking at the camera or even smiling to capture the love & happiness in a photo. There were still moments between mum & new baby Penelope but then there were the raucous moments where the whole family was just being themselves & having a lovely time together. The perfectly gorgeous photo's of the two girls playing around show that kids will be kids & why would we ever want to change that? The joy here is capturing those little moments between siblings so that in years to come they can see that there connection goes way beyond just blood. It was a very relaxed day & I know the Barreau Family will look back with fond memories of this photo shoot. They won't remember sitting still & getting grumpy at the kids for not looking at the camera & smiling...they'll remember what a lovely day they had connecting as a new family unit & the beautiful surprise here is that they'll have the photo's to remember it for a lifetime. After all - 'It's the little memories that will last a lifetime.'
